Chicken Puff

The brahmin went with an empty stomach to the Silverline bakery opposite kundalahalli gate. He watched greedily at the delicacies on display, and ordered fresh samosas. He contemplated on the work he had done through the day and was grinning, thinking about his success.

Bhaiyya, give one chicken puff, the girl in a tight black jeans, blurted out. Her husband was standing calmly, one hand on her shoulder.

The Brahmin tried to ignore them, but still kept observing them from the corners of his eyes.

No darling, he will not eat. He will not like it, the husband said to her.

No yaar! He will like it, the taste of flesh will make him healthy, the girl muttered.

This sentence rang a bell in the brahmin's mind. Ghor Kaliyug, he exclaimed in his mind. Today's youth have such corrupted mind, and their minds are filled with filth. This young modern couple feel that their children at home will be healthy by eating chicken. The next 5 seconds, the brahmin prepared his speech that he was about to lash out on the young modern couple. He threw away his paper plate, picked up his bag, turned away from the couple and started towards the counter to pay up. I will teach them little dharma today, he was mumbling, trying to recollect all the relevant slokas.

As he turned back to the couple, he noticed that they have vanished. On the road, he saw a pale skinny dog enjoying a chicken puff. He went back to counter, and ordered, bhaiya give me a chicken puff.........
