Bomma-rillu

Anwar was happy with the trip to the sea shore so far. There have already been two games of cricket, one ride of the horse-cart, an hour of floating in the shallow waters and of course Candy-floss, Buddhi-ke-baal as they called it.

Physically tired, but mentally pumped up, Anwar looked around to find an activity to expend his energy. He saw his ammi packing the bags. It will take atleast 30 mins to gather and pack, he thought to himself. He started playing with the sand, to find small crabs, and started digging. He got bored soon. He watched the mound that he had unearthed. Slowly he started giving shapes to the mound. Within 15 minutes, a small castle of dreams started to etch out in the sandy beach. His mother was also watching intently, admiring his passion and dedication for this activity. He went on to make detailed walls, doors and windows on to the castle. Oyster and Crab shells bedecked his castle, adding to the strength. Smack!!! landed the ball on to the tallest tower. The entire castle collapsed and the evening wind levelled the mound soon.

Ammi carried the sobbing Anwar on her shoulder, consoling him that when he grows up he can build a real castle.......
